V781DAJ new in 2000 to Acomb in York, is a Volvo FL6.14 WrL with Emergency One bodywork. It is seen at that years Preston Park rally before it's delivery to Acomb.

BVN966T a 1979 Cheshire Fire Engineering bodied WrL formerly at Sherburn, is seen with Dalmation Cars at Stockton on Tees in the late 90's. It was for sale, the owner thought it would appeal to a bunch of men who might want to set up their own party business, you know like the pink stretch limos, and strippergram types!!

OPY793X a Carmichael bodied Bedford, formerly with the training school, is another to be found at Dalmation Cars in Stockton on Tees.

The remains of HHN500V a 1980 Bedford TKG/CFE WrL formerly in reserve, are seen at the premises of Cochranes Coaches in Co Durham on 26.6.97.

T958MEF is another Emergency One bodied Volvo FL6.14 new in 1999. It too is seen at Preston Park before delivery to it's new home of Richmond.

SAJ658N a 1975 WrT formerly at bedale, is seen at Montes Yard at Fencehouses for scrap.

This Dodge K series was seen derilict at cochranes Coaches in Co Durham on 29.6.97, the yard has long since been cleared now.

This is VDN100, the City of York's former Bedford ET. It is seen at Monte's yard in Fencehouses in County Durham around 1983/4. At the time i didn't know it was a Fire Appliance, much less the signifigance of it. I thought it was a Post Office Van! There were several Fire Appliances here, including some from North East Brigades. Monte's had two sites, this one and another behind a set of Terrace Houses in the Town itself. The site shown in the picture, and everything in it, was cleared long ago, and there are bungalows on it now.

H551MAJ is one of five Dennis/HCB Angus ET's operated by this brigade, this one is at York in 1998.

Incident support unit brought over to Tadcaster for photography by the FBS on a visit by the FBS in 1998.

K667BPY is PAJ's replacement, it is also seen at York.

This is PAJ576R a 1977 ERF Metz TL. It is seen at York fire station in the late 90's whilst I was there on a visit with the FBS. This machine is believed to be in Northumberland, at an outdoor centre which offers drives of Armoured vehicles.

Bedford Foam Salvage Unit at Northallerton (I think) This is one of this brigade's several pod units.

Can you believe that this uncredited photo of FYY431 a Miles bodied Commer new to York City Fire Brigade, came from a 50p box? Getting this was one of my greatest finds at a rally, I still can't believe it today. I imagine that owing to the lighter photographic hues in this picture, the appliance is in York City's unusual yellow livery.
