JDC599 the 500 Group's 1958 Ex Middlesbrough Corporation Dennis Loline Mk1.

The 500 Group acquired this Bus in 1991 following the placement in the Bus Press regarding the whereabouts of former Teesside vehicles. JDC599 had been owned by a Mr Ron Mowbray (who kept it in his back garden) since 1977, and he sold the Bus to us on condition that it was restored and retained it's original registration.
The Bus (by 1991 now at the Trent Bus Depot in Derby) was duly purchased, and was restored by members of the 500 Group over a seven year period. JDC599 made it's suprise Rally debut in at Showbus in 1998.We knew it was going to Showbus, we just didn't tell anyone about it! The dropped jaws were amazing! This collection of photos show it's preserved life from when we acquired it to current times. Hope you enjoy them.

And here she is, all thats required is a bit of paint, and some Cornflakes packets for the holes.	This is how we first saw 99 Bus, the Trent Tow Wagon pulled it out of the Depot into the yard for us to have a look at it in the open.	The Tow Wagon is interesting in it's own right, it is an AEC Militant, formerly with the Army, it has been rebuilt using home made bodywork, and Bristol RE parts. Trent have had this since the 70's, as I have pictures of it in NBC white.	There we are, 99 is safely parked up amongst Transit vehicles, and is seen being examined by Transit Staff.
Nearly home now, the combination is seen here turning into the Transit Depot in Stockton.	Here is 99 Bus, behind Hargreaves Tow Wagon. It is seen on the A19 just south of Teesside near the Cleveland Tontine.	The original crest was still in existance on the side.	Showbus 1998, The 500 Group's finest hour!
