Volvo 7 series
25th September 2008

During the 80's, I had a friend who was a car salesman, of all the Cars he brought back with him, none were (to me at least) more impressive than the giant 7 series saloons. I loved their austere agressive styling. They really are impressive beasts, and during the late 90's I was lucky enough to own a 740. F844ONL (where are you now?) This created an interest in these magnificent cars which endures to this day. Perhaps if this greedy government ever gets the fuel crisis under control, I'll have another.
Anyway the following are what I've seen on the road. Do'nt forget to checkout the owners website, if you are interested in these wonderfull cars.

This partly customised example was seen at Shildon at the Bus Rally in 2008. Its a bit of a bizzare colour scheme if you ask me! Wonder what they would have thought of it at Torslanda?

C900LCN was a 740 which was on loan to me during 1998, when my own was under repair. It is a nice early original condition 740, and is seen in Seaton Delaval in Northumberland.

During the 90's I worked at the Tyne Tunnel, one Metro Centre Rally (1994 i think) I could'nt get the full day off, so I had to go there after an early shift. Much to my disgust, I got there at about 15.30!
